What is the recommended maximum license for a 16-core Intel server?
ScaleArc has software optimization to dedicate the licensed cores for ScaleArc threads to achieve predictable per cluster performance. Best practice would be to keep a minimum of 20% of the physical cores/ VM vCPUs for Linux OS, networking, httpd, and other supporting functions. For a 16-core Intel server, four processor cores would be assigned to system. You can deploy a 12-core ScaleArc license. System cores are not counted towards the ScaleArc licensed cores.
