How to use precheck.py script to obtain list of Conflicting RPM`s during Installer PreCheck.
If the error message "Precheck failed. Skipping installation"appears in installer log (/var/log/scalearc-install.log for new installation, /logs/installer.log for upgrade) and new installation or upgrade is suspended.
We can use the precheck.py Script to find the list of all the conflicting RPM`s using following instructions:
1. Copy the attached the script precheck.py to the ScaleArc Node.
2. Run precheck.py file using below command:
$ sudo python precheck.py ""
3. The Script will provide the list for all the confilicting RPM`s:
Failed precheck rpms are - ['mlocate-0.22.2-6.el6.x86_64.rpm', 'strace-4.8-10.el6.x86_64.rpm']
4. These RPM`s can be added to the "/opt/idb/bin/ignore_rpm_versions.conf" to resume the installation.
To add all the RPMs which failed the Pre-check to the ignore_rpm_versions.conf file we can use the following command:
$ sudo python precheck.py "" | grep "higher" | cut -d " " -f 3 >> /opt/idb/bin/ignore_rpm_versions.conf
