How to Upload and create a ScaleArc VHD Image to Azure?

Follow the steps below for how to upload a ScaleArc .vhd to Azure Storage Account and how to Create an Image from the .vhd
Prerequisites:
- Azure portal account
- Azure storage account
Login to Azure and Storage Accounts
Login to the Azure portal.
Step 1 - Locate or create Storage Accounts section and select the storage account you want to upload the .vhd imagae.
Make Sure Account Kind as General Purpose and Replication as Geo-redundant Storage
Step 2: Create a new Container under Storage Account
Step 3: Upload VHD file as Page Blob only from the local system to the newly created Container.
After Successful upload, you will see VHD file of Blob Type as Page Blob.
Step 4: Create an Image from Blob Storage VHD file uploaded.
Go to images Blade of Azure & Click on Add to create new Image. Then you need to browse the uploaded vhd file from the respective storage
container in the region where vhd was copied. This will populate the name of vhd in the Storage blob box which is seen in red below.
Once you browse the Blob Storage VHD file uploaded to the Storage A/C then press Create to initiate Image creation. After successful completion new Image
will get created.
STEP 5 : Post image creation, select images in Dashboard and then press Create VM. it is now ready to Create VMs.
