From ScaleArc 3.x onwards, the access to ScaleArc through SSH has been disabled by default.
This document explains how to enable SSH access to the ScaleArc terminal.
Log into ScaleArc User Interface through browser.
Goto "SETTINGS" menu, slect "System Settings"
System Settings has two tabs, System Status and System Config. (as shown below)
Click on "System Config" tab. You will see following Screen.
Click on "Enable SSH" button
This will prompt you for the Admin User Credentials you have set while configuring the ScaleArc.
Once you enter the right credentials, ScaleArc will generate the random password for the user "idb" and enable the SSH access on non default port 555.
Make sure to copy the password (The pop up windows closes after 30 seconds) and log into to your ScaleArc box on port 555 using SSH client like "putty".
You are done.
To disable the once enabled SSH access, the System Config Option provides the button to achieve the same.
