The purpose of this article is to walk through the steps to enable SSH access to your ScaleArc servers after applying ScaleArc MySQL version 3.0 Update 2 (Full version number 3.0.46-18-17-17-18).
Cannot SSH into ScaleArc Servers after applying ScaleArc MySQL version 3.0 Update 2 (Full version number 3.0.46-18-17-17-18)
ScaleArc has updated some security perameters within the ScaleArc servers, which has changed the SSH port along with how passwords are generated for SSH sessions.
You must now enable SSH via the ScaleArc UI to obtain a randomly-generated SSH Session password to SSH into ScaleArc Servers.
To Enable SSH to your ScaleArc Servers after applying Update 2, do the following:
1. Log on to your ScaleArc UI as an Administrator User
2. On the top right, click the Settings tab and choose System Settings
3. Once in systems Settings, click the System Config tab
4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click the Enable SSH button
5. When prompted, enter the credentails for an Administrator User, and click the Submit button
This will display your new SSH Session Password and also tell you the port and username need to log in to your ScaleArc server via SSH.
NOTE: Make note of the Session Password, as this will be the password going forward you will need to SSH into your ScaleArc Server. If you forget your SSH password, you must DISABLE SSH via the ScaleArc UI, then Re-Enable SSH to obtain an new SSH Session Password.
